Lena Dunham has a message for Rihanna: stop tweeting photos of yourself and break-up with Chris Brown.
That seemed to be the gist of the 26-year-old's rant about the pop star on Alec Balwin's podcast Here's the Thing.
The Girls creator and star is the latest to weigh-in on Rihanna's apparent reconciliation with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, and questions her status as a role model for young women who worship her music and bad girl persona.
Lena said on the programme she 'used to be really into' Rihanna.

But that's changed as the Diamonds singer appears to have fallen down the rabbit hole of celebrity and narcissism.
'[Stardom] an amazing thing and it's like, it's a platform that you have to take seriously,' she said of her role as a writer and producer of HBO's runaway hit Girls.Lena used Rihanna as an example of what not to do.She added: 'Which is why sometimes, it's like, I used to be really into Rihanna, that pop star, and then it's like again, I don't want to ever throw stones from my glass house, but I follow her on Instagram and I just think about how many little girls beyond what I could even comprehend are obsessed with Rihanna.'
The Barbadian singer has in fact become known for her daily Instagram and Twitter snaps - posing provocatively behind-the-scenes at photoshoots, on the road and at home and posting the images with vague messages about what she's up to at any given moment.Lena then weighed in on her relationship with Chris Brown, convicted of assaulting her while they were dating in 2009.The pair have been seen together several times in recent months, sparking rumours of a reconciliation

Lena reasoned: 'Like you know, she left Barbados, she's had this amazing career, she's won a Grammy... She's talented.
'And then she gets back together with Chris Brown and posts a million pictures of them smoking marijuana together on a bed.
'And it cracks my heart in half in a way that makes me feel like I'm 95 years old,' she said.

Lena has shared her thoughts on the couple in the past.She tweeted about Rihanna and Chris last February, writing that their new duets 'make me want to go hide under Gloria Steinem’s bed for 72 hours.'

The singers nevertheless hit the music studio last week, reportedly to record their fourth musical collaboration.
Few details are known about the as-yet unreleased track, which follows their previous duet, Nobody’s Business (featured on Rihanna's latest album, Diamonds) and remixes for Birthday Cake and Turn Up the Music.
Rihanna will next be seen performing alongside Taylor Swift and The Black Keys at the Grammy Awards on February 10, where her single Where Have You Been is up for best pop solo performance.
